About Janique Crenshaw

Hi, I’m Janique, an illustrator and creative artist with a passion for art and drawing since childhood, taking inspiration from the likes of Alphonse Mucha, anime, and music that hits the soul.

I earned my B.F.A. in Illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design in 2011, but it wasn’t until 2018, while teaching English in South Korea, that I rediscovered the joy of painting. One art class at a tiny studio in Chuncheon called Grida (그리다) reminded me that art isn’t about perfection, and I finally found the confidence and inspiration to push past my comfort zone and explore various mediums, styles, and subjects.

I’ve also found the love of sharing that spark of confidence and inspiration with others. Teaching and hosting workshops isn’t just about techniques; it’s about helping people find trust in their own creativity, allowing them to let go and make art that’s truly theirs. Whether it’s a sip & paint night, a class, or a private event, I’m here to guide and encourage a bit of fun. Because art should absolutely be fun, freeing, and truly yours.
